Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish admits he is still not sure whether he will start Andy Carroll in tonight's must-win Europa League Round of 16 clash with Sporting Braga.
The former Newcastle United striker is slowly returning to full fitness following a serious thigh injury but Dalglish does not want to overwork him as the Reds get set for the season run-in.
Dalglish says it is very enticing to start Carroll but knows that he cannot push him even though he sparked the Reds into action when he came on in the second half of the 1-0 first leg loss last week.
"The fitter he gets the more tempting it will be but when that day comes I don't know,'' he said.
"He is fit and well but what we do with him remains to be seen. Whether we will start with him or he comes on in the second half will be decided by how he does in training and what we think is best for us on the night.''
