Liverpool's Carragher: We need to adapt to situations better

Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher says his team needs to adapt and adjust better to situations during games to force better results. As the Reds sit atop the league table with rivals Chelsea, Carragher wants the players to overcome adversity to make very point count in the race for the title.

"Of course you want to win these games but when it doesn't happen you can't afford to get too downhearted because it's a tough league and I'm sure there are going to be plenty of games like that between now and next May," Carragher told the club's official website, in reference to the frustrating draw with Fulham.

"Against Fulham obviously we haven't hit the heights that we did do earlier in the season and to be perfectly honest they played well and I wouldn't say we deserved to win because I suppose they could have nicked one as well because they were quite lively on the break.

"That's been the case ever since I've been in the team. Pretty much every team that comes to Anfield plays counter-attacking football and we can't complain about that.

"We've just got to adapt to it and overcome it because if we want to challenge for the title that is something we're going to have to do."
