Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez is keen to lure Hamburg winger Eljero Elia to Anfield meaning he may have to offload Andre Dossena and Ryan Babel.

Benitez needs to raise about £15million for the 22-year old Dutchman and it seems increasingly likely that the out of favour pair may find themselves at new homes.

Italian clubs Roma and Napoli are believed to be keen on 28-year old Dossena and his agent, Roberto La Florio, confirmed he is very interested in moving back to Italy.

"Andrea is getting no space at Liverpool and he wants to return to Italy to play more regularly so that he can be a part of the squad for the World Cup," La Florio said.

22-year old Babel has showed Benitez he has plenty of ability but the Spaniard continues to overlook him and he too could be on his way out.
