Liverpool defender Fabio Aurelio is in the mix to return to action when the Reds take on Everton in the Merseyside derby clash at Anfield this weekend.

The Brazilian suffered a calf injury against Stoke in mid-January and although he has returned to training, will need to pass a fitness test to be considered for the Toffees fixture according to assistant Sammy Lee.

"Fabio is back in training which is good news," Lee said.

"Whether he will be ready for Saturday, well we will have to assess that in the next few days."
