Newcastle United face competition from Liverpool for American whizkid Emerson Hyndman. The 11 year-old, who is the grandson of FC Dallas coach Schellas Hyndman, was spotted by Toon chief Dennis Wise earlier this year and has trained with Newcastle juniors.

However, the Sunday Sun says Hyndman has also now visited Liverpool, as more English clubs wake up to his potential.
