Liverpool are chasing AS Monaco fullback Benjamin Mendy this summer.

RMC says Liverpool are ready to challenge Manchester City and Manchester United to the signature of France international Mendy.

Having already snapped up Monaco playmaker Bernardo Silva on Friday for £43million, Pep Guardiola is plotting another raid on the Principality.

However, the Spaniard is unlikely to get Mendy without a fight as both Jurgen Klopp and Jose Mourinho are in the market for a top-class acquisition at left-back.

All three clubs are able to offer the 22-year-old Champions League football and €45m will be enough to sign Mendy.
