Liverpool have joined Manchester City's interest for Danubio whizkid Joaquin Ardaiz.

The Sun says Liverpool are planning a move for 16-year-old Uruguayan sensation Ardaiz - dubbed the next Luis Suarez.

Current Barcelona striker Suarez was a huge hit on Merseyside, almost firing the Reds to a title in 2013-14 before his big-money switch to the Nou Camp.

The Catalans have also shown an interest in Ardaiz, as have Manchester City, who will send scouts to South American when the Uruguayan season begins again.
