Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is the subject of an intense battle between Liverpool and Chelsea.

The Sun says Liverpool and Chelsea will battle it out for £65m-rated Aubameyang this summer.

The Premier League giants have been in touch with Borussia Dortmund over a deal.

Jurgen Klopp is the frontrunner to sign Aubameyang, 28, having coached him when he was manager of the Bundesliga outfit.

Liverpool chiefs are reluctant to meet Dortmund's whopping price tag and his £180,000-a-week wage demands though.

That situation means Chelsea are in with a sniff of snaffling up the former Saint-Etienne star as Diego Costa's replacement.
