Liverpool are weighing up a move for Sevilla striker Kevin Gameiro. The Daily Star says summer signings Rickie Lambert and Mario Balotelli have struggled to find the back of the net and reports in Spain suggest boss Brendan Rodgers has his eye on 27-year-old Gameiro.

Liverpool were linked with a move for the French forward in 2013 but he opted to join Sevilla from Paris Saint-Germain in a £7m deal.

Gameiro struck 15 times in La Liga for Los Rojiblancos in his maiden season but he has been limited to just ten appearances this campaign with Colombian star Carlos Bacca favoured by Unai Emery.
