Liverpool are eyeing Dynamo Kiev attacker Artem Milevskiy.
The People says former Reds boss Roy Hodgson eyed up Milevskiy in August 2010 before Kiev tied him down with a three-year contract extension.
That deal is due to expire next year and Kiev are ready to sell him in the next transfer window rather than lose him for nothing on a Bosman.
The Ukraine forward was rated at £12million two years ago when Hodgson was interested and could be available for a fraction of that amount.
