Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard will not be rushed into action says manager Kenny Dalglish.
The Reds star has been out since the end of October with an infection in his ankle and although he is well on his way to full fitness, Dalglish has made it clear that he will remain patient.
"We'll wait and see. We won't set any targets for Sunday that we won't reach. When he's ready he'll be ready.
"It's fantastic for him that he's progressing as well as he is and great for us as well.""Steven is progressing and training really well. Everybody is delighted with his progress, so that is positive as well," said Dalglish ahead of Sunday's clash with Aston Villa.
