Adam Lallana could face Southampton this weekend with Liverpool hopeful his injury, incurred on England duty, is "not too serious".

The midfielder is yet to be fully assessed but, according to manager Jurgen Klopp, is not altogether ruled out of Saturday's trip to his old club.

"With Adam we don't know exactly," he said. "Of course nobody comes off the pitch if they don't feel anything.

"I've spoken to him already, but we couldn't do a scan until now, and we have to wait. It will be close - the time until Southampton is short, but hopefully it's not too serious."
