Liverpool reluctant to meet Emre Can demand in new contract

Emre Can is demanding a buyout clause be included in any new deal offered by Liverpool.

The Germany midfielder is inside the final year of his current contract.

The Times says Can is seeking a release clause in his new deal - and Liverpool are reluctant to agree.

Liverpool took advantage of a clause in Can's Bayer Leverkusen contract when signing him in 2014 and are aware that his representatives may ask for something similar this time around.
