Birmingham City have made a new move for Liverpool winger Ryan Babel.

The Daily Mail says the Reds have rejected a bid by Birmingham to take Babel on loan next month.

Babel came close to moving to St Andrews in the summer - and manager Roy Hodgson admitted he expected the Dutchman to go.

However, Babel's form since has impressed the Reds boss.
