Liverpool receive bumper offer from China for Lazar Markovic

Liverpool are ready to offload Lazar Markovic to a Chinese Premier League club.

The Serb has attracted enquiries from China ahead of the January market opening this week, with Liverpool making it clear via intermediaries their willingness to sell.

Sources close to Markovic have confirmed to LFCtransferroom.com that Chinese clubs are in contact with one willing to pay £10m to sign the midfielder.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is happy to clear Markovic off the books, with no plans to include him in his first team plans.

Markovic's deal runs to 2019 and he has also been linked with a winter market move to Fenerbahce.

Despite showing glimpses of class last season on loan at Hull City, Liverpool have struggled to find a buyer in Europe and the £10m fee from China will more than likely be accepted.
