Liverpool, Real Madrid target Werner rejects RB Leipzig contract offer

Timo Werner has turned down a new contract offer from RB Leipzig.

Liverpool and Tottenham are interested in the Germany international, along with Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.

The 21-year-old has been in top form this season, scoring 14 times from 28 appearances in all competitions.

Werner, whose current deal expires in 2020, wants to consider all his options, says the Daily Star.

With an upcoming World Cup that he expects to be a part of, his future could well be shaped by his performances in Russia this summer.

In October, when asked if a move to the Premier League would interest him, he said: "Yes, for sure.

"I would say the Italian or the French league is not my thing. I don't see me there right now."
