Liverpool are ready to 'lead the bidding' for AS Monaco superkid Kylian Mbappe.

The Times says Jurgen Klopp is waiting for encouragement that the Monaco teenager fancies a switch to England.

Real Madrid have made the strongest signs so far that they want Mbappe.

Reports had claimed Liverpool saw their £87.9million bid for Mbappe rejected.

And club bosses have apparently moved to convince the striker that his development would be best under Klopp.

There should also be the offer of Champions League football on the table, providing Liverpool get through the play-off round.

The Kop side are thought to have gone for Mbappe last summer.
