Liverpool will have to up their bid for Sporting Lisbon winger Diego Capel. The Daily Express says Capel is available for around £6million, with Liverpool seeing a £3m offer in the summer rejected.

But if Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is prepared to double his bid Capel would be keen on a switch to Merseyside, that may precipitate Raheem Sterling's temporary exit.
