Liverpool are prepared to sell Maxi Rodriguez this summer.
The Daily Star says Kop boss Kenny Dalglish will look to off-load midfielders Joe Cole, Maxi Rodriguez and Christian Poulsen.
Rodriguez, 30, has hinted that he is willing to leave Anfield.
He would love to return to former club Newell's Old Boys in Argentina if a deal could be thrashed out.
He said: "The president called me and I said yes.
"Now it depends on the contract I have in Liverpool, maybe that can be loosened a little."
