Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is quietly confident signing Costa Rica goalkeeper Keylor Navas after the World Cup.
The Daily Star says the Reds made an enquiry about the stopper in March, long before the World Cup had started.
Navas had impressed for Spanish side Levante in La Liga and while his club insist he is going nowhere, Liverpool were confident of getting their man.
Liverpool still have Pepe Reina but he is likely to leave this summer after a loan spell at Napoli.
