Liverpool are actively exploring the prospect of bringing forward their deal for RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita.
The Telegraph says Liverpool will attempt to bring Keita's move to Anfield forward in an attempt to fill the void left by Philippe Coutinho's £142 million move to Barcelona.
Keita, who has already been secured by Liverpool following a deal worth around £57 million, is on loan for the season at RB Leipzig.
The German club is determined to retain him as they seek to qualify for next year's Champions League, but Liverpool would be willing to pay more again to get him this month.
“We have never been in a better position in recent times, as a club, to react in the right way," Reds boss Jurgen Klopp said in response to Coutinho's move.
