Liverpool preparing to sell Balotelli - if buyer can be found

Liverpool plan to sell Mario Balotelli in the summer.

The People says the decision was taken by boss Brendan Rodgers even before the high-maintenance Italian was charged by the FA for posting an allegedly abusive or insulting image on social media.

And although the controversial 24-year-old striker will be given another chance to salvage some professional respect when he is fit again, his days at Anfield are numbered just five months after arriving from AC Milan in a £16million deal.

Rodgers cannot publicly wash his hands of the ex-Manchester City star as he may need him in the second half of the season. But privately, Liverpool are resigned to selling Balotelli next summer, if they can find a taker.
