Liverpool are lining up an £8 million bid for West Bromwich Albion midfielder Chris Brunt.
The Daily Star Sunday says Reds boss Roy Hodgson is desperate for new blood in January and reckons the Northern Ireland star, 25, can add more creativity to his line-up.
Brunt's eye for goal would help take the pressure off Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard.
