Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is targeting Feyenoord defender Stefan de Vrij.
The Daily Express says De Vrij, who is currently at Feyenoord, has attracted interest from a host of Premier League clubs including Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle United.
The Dutchman turned down a move last summer to England, as he committed his future to Feyenoord.
This arguably paid off as he was made captain, taking over from Ron Vlaar, who signed for Aston Villa.
But Feyenoord are ready to cash in and Liverpool are making the most headway in terms of trying to grab his signature.
It is believed that a fee of £8m will be enough for Liverpool to land their man.
