Liverpool could still offload Martin Skrtel to Napoli according to reports.
The Slovakian centre-back is wanted by former Reds boss Rafael Benitez on a season-long loan but the Merseysiders are willing to sell for the right price.
Benitez, who signed Skrtel from Zenit St Petersburg in 2008, feels the £12million Liverpool want may be a bit too much but is open to negotiations.
Liverpool will then make an official move for Schalke's Kyriakos Papadopoulos.
