Liverpool pondering Aspas swap deal for Benfica's Cardozo

Liverpool are believed to be considering a striker swap deal this summer.

Football Direct News suggests that the Reds are looking to bring in Oscar Cardozo from Benfica in exchange from Iago Aspas who struggled in his debut season in England.

The 26-year old Spanish forward managed just 14 Premier League appearances after joining from Celta Vigo last summer and is now on the outer at Anfield.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is reportedly showing interest in Paraguayan ace Cardozo who has a stunning scoring record in Portugal.

The Reds reportedly want to bring the former Newell's Old Boys star to Merseyside for a modest fee while throwing in Aspas to sweeten the deal.
