Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez still fancies making an offer for West Ham United defender Matthew Upson.
The Times says Liverpool remain interested in Upson, although they may not have the funds to try to sign the West Ham United defender.
This is despite the sale of Andrea Dossena to Napoli for £4.4 million and expected departures of Andriy Voronin, to Dynamo Moscow for £2 million, and Ryan Babel.
