Brentford manager Dean Smith has revealed that Liverpool have been left very satisfied with Sergi Canos' loan spell with the Championship club.
Canos joined Brentford from Liverpool on a season-long loan deal in the summer and the Spanish winger has managed to impress at Griffin Park, scoring six goals as well as providing four assists in the Championship.
Now Canos is set to return to Anfield after playing for the Bees one final time this weekend against Huddersfield Town and manager Smith has gone on to reveal that the Merseysiders have been left very pleased with the progress the 19-year-old has made over the last nine months.
Smith told Getwestlondon: "We give [Liverpool] regular reports and they're here as well, and they're really pleased with him.
"You have to be exceptionally tough to play at Premier League level.
"Look at Dele Alli and Wayne Rooney and young lads who have gone in there early. So it all depends on how he does [at Liverpool in] pre-season [if he gets in the first team]."
