Liverpool midfielder Joe Cole was pleased with his matchwinning debut for Lille on the weekend.
Cole came off the bench to inspire his new club to victory over St Etienne.
"It wasn't a bad debut - then again, anything less than a sending off would have been an improvement," he said, making the contrast to how he felt after being red carded 44 minutes into his first Barclays Premier League game for Liverpool.
"Everything has happened so quickly. But every day I go into work, it becomes a little bit more familiar and I think to myself, 'Yeah, I'm in the right place here' the way they play football suits me down to the ground. I'm really enjoying it."
