Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers will continue to assess the fitness of striker Daniel Sturridge ahead of Sunday's key Premier League clash against Chelsea as he recovers from a hamstring strain. The 24-year-old was substituted during the win against Manchester City earlier this month and missed last Sunday's victory over Norwich.
"We'll give it another 24 hours," said Rodgers. He's working hard with the medical team. So we shall see. If he's not fit, we've coped before; we've managed before without a number of players. We'll go into the game with confidence. We'll assess that over the next 24 hours."
