Liverpool are being linked with a move for the Stoke City winger Ramadan Sobhi, an Egyptian teammate of Mohamed Salah.
Sobhi is only 21, and has three Premier League goals in 25 games this season. A fee in the region of £15 million would be needed to prize him from Stoke.
It does seem an unusual move, given Liverpool's array of talent in the attacking and wide positions. But another player with pace and youth could be exactly what manager Jurgen Klopp needs next season.
The rumours from TEAMtalk also suggest that Liverpool believe signing Sobhi would give Salah further incentive to stay at the club.
