Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is ready to hand Brad Jones a new contract.

Giant Australian Jones will be given a new deal to stop him leaving at the end of the season for nothing as Rodgers avoids a looming headache, says the Mirror.

Jones had some stand-out displays in Pepe Reina's absence and the former Middlesbrough number one did enough to convince Rodgers that he is worth having around.
