Liverpool are launching a bid for PSG defender Sylvain Armand.

The left-sided defender can play at fullback and centre-half and French sources say Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is ready to make a bid.

Armand has just over two years left on his current deal and Benitez hopes to convince the Frenchman to reject a new PSG contract offer to make the move to Anfield.
