Liverpool are without Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher for their Champions League qualifier with Toulouse tonight.

Skipper Gerrard has not recovered from a broken toe while Carragher suffered a collapsed lung and a broken rib in Saturday's win at Sunderland.

Fellow defender Sami Hyypia broke his nose in the same game but is available after training as normal on Sunday.

Reds boss Rafa Benitez said: "It's a really important game for us.

"If we want to be in the group stages again then we need to go about our work in the right manner.

"We need to be focused and concentrate throughout. The players know there is still a game to play."
