Liverpool owners FSG have assured Jurgen Klopp that Philipp Coutinho won't be sold behind his back.

The Liverpool Echo says no bids for Coutinho will be considered this summer.

The Reds boss had a meeting with the Brazil international at the team's Ritz-Carlton base in Hong Kong on Friday night.

Coutinho, wanted by Barcelona, only signed a new five-year contract in January.

"Everything I say comes back from the owners," Klopp said.

"Yes, I would say (he doesn't have a price). It's very clear. He's not for sale. What else can I say?"
