Liverpool owner John W Henry has cleared the air with Bolton Wanderers chairman Phil Gartside over comments made by managing director Ian Ayre regarding international TV revenue.
Ayre's remarks were met with fury around the Barclays Premier League, particularly at the Reebok Stadium.
He said: "If you're in Kuala Lumpur there isn't anyone subscribing to Astro, or ESPN to watch Bolton."
That has prompted Henry, Liverpool's principal owner, to contact Gartside, who is an influential figure within the Premier League and the FA, to offer a full explanation, says the Daily Mail.
Fenway Sports Group, Liverpool's owners, are conscious of their image, and Henry moved swiftly to prevent any lingering ill-feeling over the issue.
