Liverpool owner John Henry has tweeted his support for Alberto Aquilani and David Ngog who both looked to be on their way out of Anfield. Aquilani, whose £17million signing by Rafael Benitez was ridiculed in many quarters because of his poor injury record, impressed in Saturday's 6-3 win over a Malaysia XI.
Ngog has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs but a goal against Guangdong last weekend and his two in Kuala Lumpur have caught the attention of Henry.
Liverpool's principal owner has joined the squad out in Malaysia.
"One missing link last year: Acquilani (sic)," Henry wrote on Twitter.
"Put the ball near Ngog and the goal and it's going in. Too much talk of them somewhere else."
