Coutinho, whose current contract runs until 2020, has blossomed into arguably the club's biggest asset and the lucrative deal will reflect both his importance and influence.
The gifted 24-year-old, who has scored six goals for Jurgen Klopp's side so far this season, has been heavily linked with Barcelona, but Liverpool are determined to do everything they can to retain his services.
