Liverpool offer cash, Crouch for Sunderland's Jones

Sunderland boss Roy Keane faces a battle to keep centre-forward Kenwyne Jones.

The News of the World says Keane will try to persuade Jones that he can achieve his dreams with Sunderland after knocking back an initial enquiry from Liverpool.

Reds boss Rafa Benitez is ready to pay around £10million for the hitman - and Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are also looking.

Peter Crouch was touted as a makeweight in a deal that would have seen Sunderland also pick up £9million cash.
