Liverpool are planning a swap offer for Tottenham winger Aaron Lennon.
The Daily Star says Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish is on the hunt for a winger to provide service for Andy Carroll.
And he has identified Lennon as his number one target.
Any deal would involve Alberto Aquilani, who returned to Liverpool this month following his season-long loan at Juventus.
Liverpool signed Aquilani for a reported fee of £20million from Roma in 2009 and he is under contract with the Reds until June 2014.
