Liverpool are keen on signing Stoke City midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri.
The Liverpool Echo says Liverpool retain an interest in Shaqiri – but they have yet to make an official approach for the Stoke winger.
A clause in his contract means he can leave for around £13.5million and he would add depth to Jurgen Klopp's attacking options at a reasonable price.
Shaqiri's club future was on hold during the World Cup but Switzerland were knocked out in the last 16 by Sweden on Tuesday.
Liverpool must now decide whether to firm up their interest in the coming days and pursue a deal.
