Liverpool have joined traditional rivals Manchester United in the race to sign Lazio midfielder Lucas Bigila, reports Gazzetta Dello Sport.
According to the reports, the Reds have already placed an official bid for the £21million-rated star who has also been linked with Real Madrid.
His agent, however, revealed over the weekend that the 29-year-old would be happy to stay with the Italian club.
"I've heard, but at the moment there's nothing to speak about, just rumours," Enzo Montepaone said on the recent rumours.
"We have to speak with Lazio and [President Claudio] Lotito, they'll decide if the player will leave in January.
"I'll be in Italy next week, so we'll see. Is he happy at Lazio? Yes, I'd say he's happy in Italy in general."
