Liverpool are refusing to drop their pursuit of PSG striker Ezequiel Lavezzi. The Daily Express says it was suggested that Lavezzi preferred a return to Italy - where he previously played for Napoli - should he leave the French capital this summer.
But that hasn't dissuaded Liverpool, who are prepared to pay £18.5m to land the Argentine international.
However, reports in Italy suggest that Liverpool are still waiting to receive some of the money from Luis Suarez's £75m move to Barcelona to complete the move.
Once the full amount is received the Reds will step up negotiations over Lavezzi, assuming Juventus or Milan haven't beaten them to the punch.
