Liverpool assistant boss Sammy Lee is confident new signings Andrea Dossena and Robbie Keane can build on their debuts in the win at Sunderland on Saturday.

"When you go away from home the first game of the season, the main thing is to get the result," he told liverpoolfc.tv.

"New players have come in with the likes of Dossena, and it's a totally new type of football and he's got a game under his belt and it'll be nice to take that into the coming games.

"This a very tough league. For someone like Dossena to come in and to get that under his belt is ideal. It's the same with Robbie, the more games he plays with Fernando and get an understanding the better it will be for everybody."
