Liverpool new boy Adam has not changed according to Levein

Scotland boss Craig Levein has pointed out that star midfielder Charlie Adam has not changed despite his transfer to Liverpool earlier this summer.

The former Rangers man did the hard yards with loans at Ross County, St Mirren and Blackpool earlier in his career before joining the Seasiders permanently in 2009 where he really made a name for himself.

Now he is at one of England's biggest clubs and Levein says the demeanor of the midfielder has not changed at all.

"Charlie gets a lot of press attention because, if not quite rags to riches, it's a great story about believing in yourself and starting again," said Levein. "If he's a success with Liverpool there could be a film made about it!

"The good things about Charlie for me is that he has not changed. I can say that about all the players. They have not changed. They do not have inflated ideas about where they are."

Levein, Adam and Scotland are all preparing for tonight's international friendly against Denmark at Hampden Park.
