Liverpool needs to be patient before new style kicks in - Enrique

Jose Enrique feels that the Liverpool team needs to remain patient in order to adapt to new manager Brendan Rodgers' game style.

The Reds improved out of sight from their opening weekend loss to West Bromwich Albion by forcing a 2-2 draw with reigning champions Manchester City at Anfield yesterday.

The home side were the better of the two teams on the day and were in the end unlucky to draw and Enrique feels there will be more performances like this once they fully adjust to the new game plan.

"We are trying but there is still time - because there is a new manager we need time - but if we can play like this I think we will get many points," said the Spaniard.

"The best team in the world is the best example - Barcelona.

"You can see against Real Madrid a few days ago, how when they have the ball it is amazing and when they lose it, within three or four seconds they have it back. This the way we try to play.

"We can't compare with Barcelona - they are different, but we are trying to play like this. We are starting to learn but we are learning well."
