Liverpool are unimpressed by claims from Wigan Athletic chairman Dave Whelan that they've offered Roberto Martinez the manager's job.
The Sunday Mirror says Liverpool were last night mystified by Whelan's outlandish claims they have offered Martinez their manager's job.
Anfield sources insist Martinez has not been offered the post and the Spaniard is no closer to being named as Kenny Dalglish's successor.
Although principal owner John W Henry was understood to have been impressed with Martinez when they met in Miami on Thursday, he has not made a final decision.
