Liverpool are moving to trump Manchester City for Feyenoord prospect Rodney Kongolo.
The Sunday Mirror says Kongolo, the 16-year-old Feyenoord midfielder, is one of the hottest properties in Europe and was widely expected to join City.
But Kongolo's mother met Anfield officials last month and the young giant will have to decide between the two Premier League clubs.
Feyenoord have tabled three separate contract offers, but Kongolo has rejected them all.
