Liverpool are moving for Uruguay defender Sebastian Coates.
Coates, 20, is tied to Nacional de Montevideo and is also a target for Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini.
Liverpool believe they have an edge thanks to Luis Suarez's presence. The pair won the Copa America for Uruguay in the summer.
Nacional want £10 million for Coates.
