Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson has jumped to the defence of Arsenal playmaker Jack Wilshere.
Wilshere is accused of improper conduct after taking to a microphone to launch an expletive-laden chant about Tottenham during the Gunners' FA Cup victory parade on Monday.
Henderson said: "Jack is a huge player for us. His ability is unbelievable. You see the things he does in games and in training and I just feel a little bit sorry for him in terms of injuries that he has got.
"But I always see him working hard in the gym, trying to make sure he strengthens every area to prevent that. He is a huge part of what we are trying to do here and I am sure in these next two games he can play some part and have an even bigger part to play next season.
"Jack is very headstrong. He will not let that [the charge] bother him at all. I know that is getting dealt with so he will concentrate on doing the best for England over these next two games."
